August 2023 | "S" Grand Babies' Shower | KCK Soapery

My friend "S" is having three grandbabies soon.  She asked if I was still making soaps. Although not in huge quantities as before, I do sporadically make mostly "melt and pour" soap and occasionally handcrafted soaps from scratch for loyal users of my soap. Then I said I would be honored to make her grandbabies' giveaways.

I had my daughter's friend take some pictures of the different batches of soap made for her:

I sure hope everybody who received one of these would love them as much as I did making them.

Thank you for stopping by!

March 2022 | Tea Party Bridal Shower Cupcake Soap Giveaways | KCK Soapery

Thank you to my friend "S" for remembering my soap for a bridal shower party she is helping organize.  These soaps were made with Olive oil, Palm oil, Coconut oil, Castor oil, and scented with "Mother's Love".

Mother's Love is a slightly sweet and innocent scent that includes a blend of peonies, hyacinth, day lilies, apple blossoms, and soft bergamot.  The red bowl above contains the melted coconut oil and palm oil.  The white bowl contains olive oil and castor oil.  The metal measuring cup contains the fragrance oil and the plastic beaker contains the lye water.

Colors used were white, pink and blue.

I made the little teapots a few weeks ago.

I hope the party guests will like these cupcake soap giveaways.

Thank you for visiting!

January 2020 | Valentine's Giveaways | KCK Soapery

Thank you "S" for deciding to make my soap as your Valentine's giveaways this year.  As I was searching for an inspiration for this Valentine's giveaways, I came into an article that described this technique as "hybrid" soap.  It is absolutely nice to know that we now have a name to this kind of soap making style.  It is made using both the melt and pour (glycerin) soap and the cold process soap.

This batch is scented with Gingered Bergamot described as an exotic fragrance with citrus top notes of bergamot surrounded with nuances of freshly ground ginger combined with notes of sandalwood, cedar, Indian patchouli, and sweet basil.  The cold process base is made using my favorite recipe which includes Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Shea butter, Castor oil, and Mango oil.

January 2020 | Valentine's Icing | KCK Soapery

Since this soap batch is an order from a friend "T", I did not play with the recipe and just used my usual tried and tested favorite recipe, which include: olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, mango butter and castor oil.

I still played with the scent by using one I have never tried before called "Angel". This is an essential and fragrance oil blend described as an enchanting jasmine touched with the deep sexy notes of musk, patchouli and brown sugar. This blend changed the color of the soap batter into yellow. But a little dose of titanium dioxide lightened it up. Since there is no vanilla content, I suppose the icings are totally safe from morphing. Then, it turned out to be creamy white and the red stayed very nice red.

Now, we are just waiting for the cure and these little icings are going to their new homes!

Thank you for stopping by.

April 2019 | Purple Bamboo Lotus | KCK Soapery

This batch of handmade soaps is going to be giveaways in a bridal shower this coming May.  The color motifs include two shades of purple, gray, and white.  When I look into my supplier's site to order for purple mica,  I realized that there are so many more varieties of purple.  I ordered a few to see which would come close to the shades I needed.  The trick is that most of these purple shades are not stable in cold process soap.  So here is to hoping the colors I picked will stay true to what we see in the package.

I sprinkled some glitters on top!

It has been a few days now, and so far I am happy with the colors.  They haven't morphed to different colors or shades so far.  Now, I am just waiting for the curing period to be good to the colors as well.

Thank you for visiting!

August 2018 | Baby Boy Shower Giveaways | KCK Soapery

These are for a baby boy shower giveaways!

It started out great and everything went perfectly as always.

The color combination were just as planned, blue stars on white mini cupcakes and I drizzled some tiny stars to make it more decorative.

Then, I noticed the white part changing into tan while it was curing and remembered that the fragrance oil "Bubblegum" and "chocolate" that I used have a lot of vanillin.

The white turned tan and the blue stars went darker.

I tried painting white over the tan ones but it does not turn out as it was originally, so I left the others tan.

After the shower, I got a call from the friend "B" that a kid tried eating these.
Well, it looked like real chocolate now.

April 2018 | Real Estate Cupcake Giveaways | KCK Soapery

What do you guys/ladies think of this packaging?

This handmade soap is scented with Lemongrass Verbena.
I added pineapple and seashells to these cupcakes designed for a real estate agent friend.

Blue, some pink, yellow, and white to color this batch.

Usual ingredients: Coconut oil, Olive oil, Rice bran oil, Palm oil, Castor oil and Mango butter

For the cupcake part, I dropped the colors into the pot and gave it a little swirl.

Poured into the mold.

Lined the remaining colors in a cling wrap, then put into the piping bag.

Enjoy!
