January 2015 | Melt and Pour Fun Week | KCK Soapery

I received some new molds in the mail earlier this week and can't help myself but play with them right away.  Fortunately, a friend saw my post and ordered for more.

These lego guys will be going to their new homes as Valentine's party giveaways.

This ballerina is going to my daughter's friend who is having a birthday tomorrow.

Fun lego pieces for the young ones.

This golden baby is a topper for a handmade soap and has found a new home with a friend who is having a baby soon.

I thought these teeth soaps will be a great gag gift, dentist gift or whatever fancies you.

Ever want to make bath, shower time or washing hands more exciting, fun and special?  I can embed a jewelry or two in between layers of melt and pour soap for your little ones or special someone.  The above soap has a pink snowflake pendant embedded in layers of soap.

Please click on the "contact" tab above if you want me to make some of these fun soaps for you.

Thank you very much.

December 2014 | Melt and Pour Herbal Soaps | KCK Soapery

A friend requested that I make the soaps that Sandy Maine of  Mother Earth Living wrote.  The article includes five recipes of handmade soaps and explanation on the essential oils and herbs used.

The soaps were made using melt and pour glycerine soap base and include the following.  Please click on the italized words to go to her site.

1. Common Plantain Soap - I was not able to find the common plantain leaves or oil on time for this post.

2. Tea Tree Antiseptic Soap - I added some hemp seed oil to this soap recipe.

Lavender Buds and Rosemary Leaves

Water in the beaker was infused with lavender and rosemary and added both lavender and rosemary essential oils.

The tears were not easily grounded up in this shallow wooden grinder.

Enjoy!

July 2014 | MP Embeds on Cold Process Soaps | KCK Soapery

The little embeds on top were made using the "melt and pour" glycerine soap technique and the main soap base was cold processed.

These embeds were made a day early.  They were looking so cute that the hubby liked them as is.  But I had plans for these cutelings.

Ingredients were coconut oil, olive oil, rice bran oil, palm oil, coconut milk, mango butter and castor oil.

For the babies, I used titanium dioxide to get the creamy white color and fragranced the batch with baby clean fragrance oil.

The bats were placed on a batch using titanium dioxide and activate charcoal for color and fragranced with aromatherapy energizing fragrance oil.

Sparkled the top with some iridescent sparkle glitter.  I surely hope you guys will like how they turned out to be.

Mother and Father's Day Melt and Pour Soap

Monday's soaping project was to embed my printed mother and father's quotes.  Letting them air dry for a few days worked since the colors did not bleed at all.  Mother's Day quotes were fragranced with Wholesale Supplies Plus' Sweet Bay Rose fragrance oil.

Father's Day soaps were fragranced with Bramble Berry's Shave and A Haircut fragrance oil.

These are the back of the soaps.  Moms colors are a combination of red/blue mica and activated charcoal while the dads were colored with blue and activated charcoal for black as well.

The last layer got a little bit wrinkled.  I have to check on how to prevent that from happening again for the next ones.  Some of the top clear layer stayed in the mold and did not came out with the soaps

Personalized Melt and Pour

As I was looking for a reason to make more soap.  I remembered my son's basketball season is almost over.  Their last game is going to be next week.  So I made personalized soaps for their coaches.  These were made using a premade melt and pour base I got from wholesalesuppliesplus and were scented with Abalone and Sea fragrance oil.

Picture above shows the back of the soap with their school colors.  The front is an informal picture of the team.

Below are quotes I plan to embed for a perfect mother and father's day soap.  I still have to air dry them for a few days before embedding them to the soap.

Here is a little youtube video on how I did this soap.
